Capable of macro photography, this lens has a 1:2 maximum close-up magnification at the 300 mm focal length. It is the ideal high performance lens for portraits, sports photography, nature photography, and other types of photography that frequently use the telephoto range.
The Sigma Macro 70mm f/2.8 EX DG Lens is a medium telephoto macro lens which is ideal for both digital and 35mm film SLR cameras. The 70mm focal length gives an equivalent field of view to the popular 105mm macro lens when used on digital SLR cameras with an APS-C size image sensor.
The Bower MC4 2x teleconverter (also known as a tele-extender) will multiply the focal length of the existing lens by 2x, and will cut back the amount of light by 2 f/stops.
